IHIT investigating double homicide in Chilliwack, BC

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of an investigation after two people were located deceased inside a residence in Chilliwack, BC. 

Background: 

On November 8, 2022 at around 2 p.m., the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment RCMP (UFVRD) responded to a report of an adult man and woman, having been located deceased inside a residence in the 44400-block of South Sumas Road, Chilliwack, BC. Upon arrival, officers determined the victims’ deaths were suspicious in nature. IHIT took conduct of the investigation and continue to work closely in partnership with the UFVRD Chilliwack RCMP, the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).

Investigators remain on scene and are working to confirm the identities of the victims.
