On January 17, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., frontline officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 1100 block of 119 Ave, Dawson Creek. Multiple shots were fired at a residence and a suspect vehicle was seen speeding away from the location. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle leaving the area and attempted to conduct a stop. The suspects shot at officers, Officers re-located the suspect vehicle unoccupied and a police service dog was deployed. Two suspects were located, arrested and remain in custody.
A third suspect fled in a dark coloured mid-2000s GMC or Chevy pickup truck, which will have significant front-end damages from driving into a police car while evading arrest.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the truck and suspect. The suspect is described as the following:
- Approximately 5’8
- Thin build
- Brown hair and eyes
- Has a tattoo down the right side of neck along his hair line
- Tunnel piercings in ears
- • Last seen driving a dark-coloured 2000s GMC or Chevy pickup with extensive front-end damage
Dawson Creek RCMP request that the public call 911 if they see this man or the vehicle and to not approach,
said Cpl. Brett Urano BC RCMP spokesperson. We are thankful that no one was injured this morning and are grateful for the public’s assistance thus far. We are continuing our investigation and ask any witnesses to please come forward if they have not yet spoken to an investigator.
