The Fort St. John RCMP have received confirmation from the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, that the Civil Forfeiture Office is moving ahead with a notice of civil claim and forfeiture proceedings against a Fort St. John residence.

The notice of claim was filed in court on Thursday, June 6, 2024 and will be seeking the forfeiture of a residence in the 10000 Block of 112th Avenue. The property has been a point of concern for Fort St. John residents due to criminal activity which culminated with shots being fired into a neighboring residence in November of last year.

This process caps several lengthy and, in some cases, ongoing investigations that have involved multiple front line and Street Enforcement Team of the Fort St. John RCMP and Municipal Bylaws states Staff Sergeant Scott Watson.
