Squamish RCMP has received the report of a plane crash in a remote area and are working with partner agencies to advance the investigation.

On May 24, 2024, in the evening Squamish RCMP was notified of an automatic crash notification from a smart phone. The location of the phone was showing in a remote area on the outskirts of Squamish, BC.

Search and Rescue as well as Joint Rescue Coordination Center have been engaged and are working with the RCMP to advance the investigation. Due to the challenges of accessing the remote location, police are not yet able to confirm any details regarding the crash.
