A search of a property in an industrial area of Dawson Creek led to police discovering and seizing several firearms, drugs, and a large amount of fraudulently obtained identification documents.

On 6th May 2024 the Dawson Creek RCMP were advised of a sighting of a man wanted by police at an industrial lot near the 300 block of 115th Avenue, Dawson Creek. Police arrived and searched the area, however it is believed the man fled prior to police arrival.

Search of the property lead to the seizure of 4 rifles of various calibre, 2 handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, suspected fentanyl, firearm parts, a stolen motorbike, a drone, imitation police gear, drug trafficking paraphernalia, hundreds of fraudulently obtained documents such as passports, driver’s license and SIN cards among other things.

Seized items from property

We are always pleased to remove illegally obtained firearms, stolen property and drugs off of the streets of Dawson Creek. We applauded the public in noting suspicious activity that does not belong in our community. Said Corporal Uittenbosch.
