Drunk in public:

An abandoned 911 call was received by the Kitimat RCMP in the Whitesail neighbourhood, during the early morning hours of February 15th. Patrols by the investigating officer resulted in the finding of a disturbance being caused. A male was arrested for causing the disturbance by being intoxicated in public. He was lodged into the Kitimat RCMP detachment cells. Begin released without charge, later in the day. (24-531)

Hit and run:

A hit and run between two vehicles was reported to the Kitimat RCMP on February 15th. A vehicle parked on the 800 block of Tsimshian Blvd had been struck and the second vehicle left. Information about the second vehicle was provided and the investigation is still continuing. (24-538)

Busy cell block:

The evening of February 15th proved to be a busy one for the Kitimat RCMP cell block. Between dinner time and midnight, three persons were arrested from various locations around the community for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated in public. All three were released the following day without charges. A fourth person was arrested during the late afternoon hours of February 16th for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated public, lodged in cells and release without charges after sobering up. Disturbance at business:

During the early morning hours of February 17th, the Kitimat RCMP were advised of a disturbance being caused by two patrons at a business located on the 100 block of Nechako Centre. Two males were arrested for causing a disturbance by being drunk in public. One male was found to be breaching release conditions and was released on an undertaking to attend court on a future date to answer to the charge of breaching a release order. The other male was released without charge once sober. (24-565)

Break and enter:

On February 20th, the Kitimat RCMP was advised of a possible break and enter into an unoccupied abandoned building on the 1000 block of Nalibila Blvd. Two persons were located within the empty building and arrested. One person was released on an undertaking to attend court on a future date to answer to the charges of break and enter and mischief. The second person was found to have warrants for their arrest. They were taken to the Kitimat RCMP cells where they were remanded in custody for the warrants and will also be attending court on a future date to answer to the new charges of mischief and break and enter.
