On Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 10:46 am, the Fort St John RCMP were asked to do a wellness check as there was concern for an individual’s well-being.
When police attended the residence in Charlie Lake, the adult man displayed aggressive behaviour towards the police that could have resulted in bodily harm. The man then barricaded himself inside a garage on the property.
Police were able to apprehend the man without further incident and there were no reported injuries. There are no further details available.
