On December 23, 2022, the UTV was reported as arriving at a local pub in Thornhill with one man driving and two women passengers. It was also reported to be the subject of ongoing issues of racing around Thornhill.

It is suspected that alcohol was consumed prior to operating the vehicle, in addition, the UTV had no license plates, was overloaded, no helmets were worn, and the driver failed to stop when the officer initiated a traffic stop, also failing to stop at a stop sign.
