Creston RCMP received 48 calls for service from November 28th, 2022 to December 4th, 2022.
Creston RCMP would like to remind the public to always ensure a vehicle has been transferred to the new owner when it is sold. Creston RCMP have come across multiple instances of people having sold a vehicle but the vehicle was still registered in the seller’s name. To ensure you have no ties to a vehicle once you sell it, attend an insurance broker so the vehicle will be registered immediately in the buyer’s name.
November 28th
- Received a report of a business being vandalized.
November 29th
- Officers located a man who was driving impaired. The man was issued a driving prohibition.
- An officer assisted a woman who had struck an elk with her vehicle. A tow truck was called and the woman was provided a ride.
November 30th
- Creston RCMP received a report of a shoplifter. Officers identified the suspect and arrested him.
December 1st
- Received a report of a shoplifter. The man was identified by police and are still attempting to locate him. Charges are being forwarded for approval.
- Received a report of a theft from a vehicle on a rural highway.
- Creston RCMP received a request to deal with their unruly elementary age child. The caller was referred to other community services.
December 2nd
- An intoxicated taxi patron would not get out of the taxi or advise where she wanted to go. The patron was lodged in Creston RCMP cells.
- A man was caught shoplifting alcohol from a store. The man was arrested and give a court date for theft with multiple conditions.
December 3rd
- Creston RCMP received a report of a woman who had also stolen liquor. The woman has been identified and charges are being forwarded.
- Officers removed an unwanted guest from a local motel. The guest heavily intoxicated. The man was lodged in Creston RCMP cells and released when sober.
- Officers assisted a woman who was having a mental health crisis. Officers took her to the hospital where she was admitted and received medical treatment.
