Police investigate armed robbery at local convenience store

Port Alberni RCMP is currently investigating a report of an armed robbery which occurred at the 7-Eleven store located at 4233 Redford Street in Port Alberni.

Just before 10:00 p.m., on Sunday November 27, the Port Alberni RCMP responded to an armed robbery in progress at the 7-Eleven. A male suspect, wearing a ski mask, allegedly produced an edged weapon and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Frontline officers responded along with the assistance of the Police Dog Services (PDS), though were not able to locate the suspect.
