On November 13, 2022, New Hazelton RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a residence located on 21st Avenue in South Hazelton.

New Hazelton RCMP began a drug trafficking investigation in October. Once a search warrant was obtained, officers with the New Hazelton and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed the search warrant and took six individuals in custody.

The search warrant yielded approximately 250 grams of mixed illicit drugs suspected to be Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine. Two rifles were also seized.

This comes on the heels of another previous search warrant that was executed in the last couple of weeks where more drugs were seized, says Cpl. Anthony Brooks, acting commander of the New Hazelton RCMP detachment. We are committed to continuing to focus on making our community safer through targeted enforcement.

If you have any information, please contact the New Hazelton RCMP at 250-842-5244.
