The Prince Rupert RCMP is requesting the public's assistance with identifying a suspect of shoplifting.

On September 16, 2022 at approximately 12:00, the Prince Rupert RCMP received a report from LeBLANC boutique about a Caucasian woman who entered the store, grabbed a backpack and left without paying for it. Neighbourhood canvassing and video surveillance helped police discover that she had been to the adjacent Homework store prior and had made a purchase there, but no further information about her was available.

Anyone with information about the woman's identity are asked to call the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-624-2136 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
