Theft
On August 24 a man reported that sometime over the previous week multiple Porta-Potty’s were stolen from the 900 block of Moha Rd. The porta-potty’s were blue/teal in colour. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2022-1805.

Theft
On August 25, a man reported someone had siphoned gas out of his vehicle that was parked on Lillooet Pioneer Road 40. The vehicle was parked outside on the road for 6 days, and the complainant had no further information to provide police. Assault police officer
On August 25, a woman reported she was arguing with a neighbour and required police assistance. Police arrived and the owner of the residence stated the woman was squatting in his house and he wanted her removed. The woman was refusing to leave. The neighbour stated the woman was the issue in the neighbourhood and he also wished her to leave. The woman was again told by police to start packing otherwise, she would be arrested. The woman began packing and threw a packed bag at one of the attending police officers, striking him with it. The woman was arrested for assaulting a police officer, and transported to Lillooet cells. After further discussions with the woman, police elected to release her without charge.

Attempted theft of vehicle
On August 26 at 9am, a man reported that sometime over night someone had attempted to steal a vehicle parked in his driveway. The man stated he heard a bump at approximately 11pm the night prior, but did not notice the vehicle now on his lawn until that morning. IDENT was unable to attend. It appeared someone attempted to push the vehicle out of the driveway, but the steering locked causing the vehicle to strike a tree on the lawn. Intoxicated in public
On August 26 at 7:30pm, a woman reported an intoxicated man drinking under the bridge near the intersection of Moon Creek Rd and Lillooet Pioneer Road 40, and had concerns he might fall into the river. Police attended and located an intoxicated half-dressed man still drinking under the bridge. The man was cooperative and arrested for being intoxicated in public. The man stated he had family at home to watch over him. Police transported him home where family stated they were able to care for him.

Roadcheck
On August 26 at 11:45pm Lillooet RCMP conducted a roadcheck on Seton Lake Rd near Main St. Traffic was light and only about 10 vehicles passed through the checkpoint after 45 minutes. No motor vehicle act infractions were observed, and no impaired drivers were located.

Theft of auto
On August 28, a man reported his vehicle was stolen from the 1800 block of Hwy 99N. The man reported the theft occurred on August 27, and that all his car keys were accounted for. A short while later the man informed police he located his vehicle parked in town with only a scrape to the rear bumper. It was unknown how the vehicle got there. The man did not wish to pursue the matter further.

Assault
On August 28, a man reported to police he was assaulted by a man known to him. Both men were known to police. The victim reported he had failed to return to the accused man’s residence with a burger from a local restaurant as agreed upon. The accused man had given money to the victim to purchase both of them burgers. The accused eventually located the victim and allegedly cornered him and punched him once in the face. Police observed noticeable swelling on the victim. Police located the accused man, arrested him for assault, and transported him to Lillooet cells. The man was released with a future court date to speak to the allegations.

Emergencies act
On September 3 at 10:30am Lillooet RCMP were requested to assist with an evacuation order in the vicinity of Downton Creek along Hwy 99S. Two provincial campgrounds were evacuated and closed off to prevent further access.

Shot heard
On September 3, at 8pm a woman reported hearing a shot heard on Powerhouse Rd near Roshard Rd. Police attended the area but did not hear any further shots, or see anyone suspicious in the area. There were no further reports of a shot heard in the area. The complainant later informed police it may have been a bear banger.

Road check
On September 4 at 7:30pm, Lillooet RCMP conducted a road check for impaired drivers on Main St near 7th Ave. Approximately 50 vehicles were checked, no impaired drivers were observed. Several verbal warning for minor Motor Vehicle Act infractions were given.

Break and enter
On September 6, a man reported a break and enter at his business on Main St sometime between September 3 and September 6. A storage area was broken into where several hundred dollars worth of items were stolen. There were no known witnesses, and no video surveillance. A small makeshift camp was located nearby with a jerry can of gas that belonged to the business, however no one was at the camp, and no other items were located there. In consultation with the district, it was learned the camp was on private property; therefore police had no grounds to dismantle the camp. Police spoke with the property representative who stated they supported police removing anyone later found at the camp.
