On Saturday, August 20, 2022, Smithers RCMP received a report of a break, enter and theft at Tricon Truss in the community.
Through investigation, a suspect was identified, and on Sunday, August 28, 2022, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 2000 block of Riverside Drive.
Upon searching the residence officers located a significant quantity of stolen property connected to several other break and enters occurring over the last two years.
The suspect, a 38 year old Smithers resident, was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a pending court date.
The outcome of this investigation is credited to the collaborative effort of Smithers General Duty members supported by the Smithers General Investigation Section
