Police investigate suspicious death.

On June 18, 2022 at 6:19 PM the Port Alberni RCMP received a report of a 31 year old man that had received significant injuries at a motel on 3700 block of Redford St in Port Alberni. The man later died at hospital as a result.

At this time we are treating this death as suspicious, stated Constable Richard Johns there is no threat to the public, and investigators are working around the clock to determine the events surrounding this death.

Conduct of this investigation has been passed to Port Alberni General Investigative Services who continue to work with the coroners office through this investigation anyone with information is requested to contact the Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
