On the evening of April 11, 2022 at approximately 7:30 p.m, Sooke RCMP received a report of threats involving a firearm in the 6700 Block of Sooke Road.

Frontline officers immediately attended the area where two men were arrested on scene. Search incidental to arrest resulted in officers seizing a variety of weapons, cash, and numerous illicit drugs which included approximately 79 grams of suspected Benzodiazepines, 30.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately 17.6 grams of suspected fentanyl.

25-year-old, Sean Patrick Tierney, of Sooke is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3.

33-year-old Jeremy Theodore Tinnion, of Sooke is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. Both appeared in court the following day, and were remanded in custody pending future court dates.

This is another example of the efforts by police to intercept dangerous illicit drugs destined for the streets of our community, said Sergeant Kevin Shaw, Acting Detachment Commander of the Sooke RCMP. Drug trafficking in Sooke will not be tolerated and we will continue to prioritize these types of investigations in support of a safe community.

Sooke RCMP remind those who witness anything they believe to be suspicious in nature to contact police at 250-642-5241 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
