Kelowna RCMP investigating shooting incident

On March 19, 2025 at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of the Kelowna RCMP responded to a possible firearm incident in the area of Ellis Street and Leon Avenue. One male victim was located and taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

A small area near the 1600-block of Ellis Street remains sectioned off while police still gather evidence.

We believe this is an isolated incident and the Serious Crime Unit has taken conduct of this investigation which is only in it’s infancy, says Cpl. Michael Gauthier Media Relations Officer. We are still working on identifying all those involved including any suspects and witnesses. Anyone with information for this incident is asked to phone the Serious Crime Unit tip-line at 250-470-6236.
