The Kelowna RCMP’s Christmas Cheer Crew brought joy across the city once again this holiday season!

The Crew is made of up police officers and support staff from the Kelowna RCMP detachment who form a small choir and band, performing Christmas carols when they visit various assisted living homes in the area.

A total of eight homes were visited this year lifting the spirits of the residents. Music is memory, says R/Cst. Steve Holmes of the Kelowna RCMP. Music evokes timeless memories but also creates new ones that connects us all regardless of age.

On average there were 10-12 members of the Cheer Crew who volunteered their time for a couple of hours during the evenings and visited locations like Lakeview Lodge, Cottonwoods, Mountainview Village and The Dorchester.

It was the 20th year of the Cheer Crew spreading the magic of Christmas carols to homes around the city of Kelowna. The RCMP and the Christmas Cheer Crew would like to wish you a very happy holiday season.
