On June 23, 2024 a report was received of a possible suicidal man near Seton Lake, the report was made by family. Lillooet RCMP members located the man near a business in town and had a conversation with him. He showed no indication of self harm and assured members he had no such thoughts, he simply left the home to have some space to himself. There were no further concerns and the caller was updated.
Assault with a weapon
2024-1244
On June 24, 2024 a caller reported a man was chasing people with a knife and had assaulted a woman at a residence in Lytton. An RCMP member responded and located the suspect in the bedroom of the residence with the victim. Further evidence was gathered, statements from victims were obtained. The suspect was arrested for 3 counts of assault, 2 counts of assault with a weapon, and 1 count of uttering threats. The suspect was held for a bail hearing and remanded (held in custody until subsequent court date). The matter is currently proceeding through the courts with the BC Prosecution Service.
Pointing a firearm

On June 24, 2024 Lillooet RCMP received a report that a man had allegedly pointed a firearm at another man after a feud over bylaw regulations escalated. Statements were obtained from the victim and witnesses. RCMP members attended the suspects residence, he was arrested for pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and assault with a weapon. The suspect was released on a court date with conditions not to be anywhere the victim was and not to contact the victim. The alleged firearm used in the offence was seized by police for further investigation. The matter is still under further investigation.
Assault
2024-1287
On June 28, 2024 a call was received of two men fighting at Downton Park in Lillooet. A Lillooet RCMP and Stl’atl’imx Tribal police member attended and learned one man was allegedly hurting his girlfriend’s dog when the other man took offense to that behaviour, the two got into a physical fight. One man did not cooperate with police and the other did not seek further police involvement/charges, they both new each other and admitted they had been drinking [alcohol] as well. The parties were separated with no further issues arising.
Breach
2024-1314
On July 1, 2024 while patrolling Lillooet RCMP located a man at Downton park (Lillooet) who was on conditions from a court-imposed release order to be at his residence 24 hours a day unless with prior written approval. The man had injuries to his face and was questioned why he was not home, he stated he was only in town for medications and for medical reasons, he was waiting for his ride. He was advised to return home, he was cooperative and arranged for his ride. His probation officer was advised of the incident.
Assault
2024-1350
On July 4, 2024 a caller reported a man in Lillooet had been grabbing her friend and making threatening comments. RCMP members attended and spoke with the caller and the friend and obtained statements. Following the statements and information learned the man was arrested for 3 counts of assault and 2 counts of failing to comply with a release order. A bail hearing was conducted and the man was remanded (further remained in custody) at the time. The report to crown counsel was submitted to the BC Prosecution Service.
Noise complaint
2024-1367
On July 6, 2024 a caller in Lytton reported a noise complaint at her neighbour’s residence, advising there was loud music with big speakers. An RCMP member later followed up with the caller, she had no further concerns about the matter.
Motorcycle broken down
2024-1397
On July 8, 2024 Lillooet RCMP received a report of an adventure motorbiker who had broken down near Mud Lakes near Gold Bridge. The report was received through a local business who was notified by the family of the stranded traveller who received Garmin inReach text. The family later advised the traveller was well, safe and sound, and was to stay at a lodge in the area.
