Beware of jewelry scam

In April two West Shore residents came forward to police reporting similar incidents where they were defrauded of money.
Both victims advised being approached by a couple claiming the male suspects wallet had been lost/stolen and they needed money for the gas. The female suspect was very emotional confirming the story and presented a box of jewelry to the victims. The suspects wanted to sell their gold jewelry so they could pay for gas and offered up low prices. The jewelry bought buy the victims ended up being fake gold.
Both incidents took place in Langford, one victim was approached on Rainville Rd the other on the corner of Pickford and Kelly Rd. The suspects were travelling in a grey or black colored SUV with a female passenger and two young children in the back.
Description of male suspect:
- East Indian male in his 40’s
- Approximately 6 feet tall
- Medium build
- Dark colored hair
- spoke with an East Indian accent
- Wearing dark blue quilted jacket
- Bright white and orange colored running shoes
Description of female suspect
- East Indian female in her 40’s
- Approximately 5’2- 5’4 tall
- Medium build
- Wearing a long dark dress and dark colored head scarf
- Spoke with an East Indian accent
