On January 22 2024, West Shore Frontline officers responded to a report of a collision near Costin Ave and Leigh Rd in Langford.

Officers arrived on scene and learned bystanders were trying to prevent the driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze from continuing to drive after colliding with a 2020 GMC Sierra.

The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, identified as a 24-year-old woman, was displaying signs of alcohol impairment and refused to cooperate with the police investigation. She was arrested for obstructing a police officer, driving while impaired as well as failing to remain at the scene of collision.

It also struck a parked vehicle on Bray Ave and Rita Rd causing extensive front end damage to a Ford Fusion.
