Police looking for witnesses

Sunshine Coast RCMP are hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed an altercation that started in the Marks store in Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons on Saturday February 18th at approximately 5:10 pm.

The initial police response resulted in the arrest of one local male and one male from Surrey. Search warrants were subsequently executed in two Gibsons residences resulting in multiple firearms related charges against both males.

Male #1 was shopping in the store before a loud argument ensued between him and two other males who had entered the store from the mall entrance. The first male was able to leave out the store entrance that led to the parking lot. The second and third male were arrested a short time later by police.

Male #1 is described as Caucasian, heavy build, 6' tall, 35-40 years old wearing a dark ball cap, light grey/white hoodie, dark pants.

Male #2 is described as Caucasian, heavy build, 6' tall , neck and hand tattoo's, 30's, wearing a black jacket and pants with very short reddish blond hair.

Male #3 is described as a Middle Eastern male, late teens, 6' tall, slim build, black short hair wearing light colored pants, and a grey/white/black patterned puffy vest over a grey hoodie.
