Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is seeking further witnesses and video surveillance as the investigation into a shots fired incident early this morning continues.
On January 5, 2024, at approximately 12:35 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 248 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road. Police attended the scene and no one appears to have been injured during the incident.
Police have secured the area and remain on scene this morning at Dewdney Trunk Road, which is closed between 248 Street and 256 Street.
Ridge Meadows RCMP Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) has conduct of the investigation and is still working to determine the motive of this incident.
This is currently an active and ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
