Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP are in the early stages of an investigation into a woman being shot at a residence.

On December 5, 2022, at approximately 7:30 pm, Ridge Meadows RCMP received a report that a woman had been shot at a residence in the 23600 block of Dewdney Trunk Road.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services.

Ridge Meadows Investigational Support Team, working in conjunction with the Serious Crime Unit, has conduct of the investigation. At this time Police believe that this was a targeted incident and there are no public safety concerns to the general public at this time. This is not related to the Lower Mainland Gang conflict.

If you have video surveillance or dash camera footage between the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm from the immediate or surrounding areas, or witnessed this incident and have not already spoken to Police please contact Corporal Daniel Biggs at 604-476-6941.
