Richmond RCMP asking public assistance for dash cam footage or information of a pedestrian hit and run

Richmond RCMP seeking dashcam video 

Shortly after 6 p.m. on April 4, 2023, frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to the intersection of Garden City Road and Westminster Highway for reports of a pedestrian struck.

The pedestrian, a woman from Richmond was struck while crossing the roadway by a dark colored sedan. She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The offending vehicle fled the scene but was located near Highway 99 and Blundell Road by police with help from a sharp-eyed motorist.  The operator of the vehicle, a 25-year old man from Surrey was arrested.

Our investigation is active and on-going.
