
RCMP seek public assistance to identify assault suspect

North Vancouver RCMP are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in an assault that occurred on W Esplanade on July 18, 2022, just after 5:00 p.m.
An individual who had been riding a skateboard when he was accosted by a man who had been walking on the sidewalk. The man, who is described as older, having grey hair, and wearing glasses, claimed the skateboarder had almost struck him when riding past, and appeared upset about this.
During the ensuing exchange, the man is alleged to have assaulted the skateboarder.
The suspect is described as:
- An older lighter skinned man
- Approximately 6 feet tall
- Wore glasses
- Shoulder length grey hair and a long grey moustache
In an effort to further the investigation, RCMP are releasing photos of the suspect. Anyone who believes they know the pictured person’s identity is asked to contact North Vancouver RCMP at (604) 985-1311 and quote file number 2022-17736.
We also are encouraging the person who was involved in the incident to identify himself,
said Corporal Melissa Jongema.
