A witness reported seeing three burnt vehicles along the Lost Creek Forest Service Road on April 29. Mission RCMP attended and found a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup stolen from Chilliwack, a 2019 Kia Elantra stolen from Surrey, and a 1972 travel trailer. All had been completely burned. If you have any information about these vehicles, or if you witness other suspicious activity in the back country, please call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161. Let’s help to keep our forests safe together.

The Mission Youth Centre on 10th Avenue was broken into just after 2:30 am on May 3. Officers arrived to find that a window had been smashed in to gain entry. Multiple items were stolen, including video game consoles. Anyone with information about this matter is asked to call Mission RCMP, at 604-826-7161.

Several impaired drivers were caught by Mission RCMP this week. On the evening of May 1, police attended a single-vehicle crash in the area of Dewdney Trunk Road and Cade Barr Street, and determined the 55-year-old female driver was impaired by liquor. That same evening, an off-duty officer observed a vehicle driving erratically as it crossed over the bridge into Mission. Mission RCMP located and pulled over the vehicle just as the driver pulled into his driveway. The 62-year-old male driver was also confirmed to be impaired by liquor. The following day, a witness reported a suspected impaired driver on Topper Drive. An officer spoke with the driver, confirmed he was showing signs of impairment, and escorted him to the Mission RCMP detachment, where he provided breath samples well in excess of the legal limit. All three of the aforementioned drivers received 90 day driving prohibitions.

A white 2006 Ford F350 was stolen overnight on the night of April 29-30, from a residence on Bench Avenue. The truck is a crew cab dually, with a chrome grill and front bumper. If you have seen this truck or have information about the theft, please contact Mission RCMP.
