At approximately 1:50 pm on October 10th 2024, Langley RCMP responded to a report of a possible plane crash in the 8400 block of 272 Street.

Frontline officers along with Township of Langley Fire Department and British Columbia Ambulance Service arrived in the area and located the plane.

It is believed that the pilot experienced mechanical issues while flying and as a result forcefully landed the plane in the field, said Constable Prrabjit Chatha of the Langley RCMP.

The pilot did not sustain any injuries as a result however, was provided assistance at the landing site.

Currently, there are mechanical engineers in the area and they are working towards removing the plane from the field safely.

Anyone who has information regarding the plane crash or witnessed it is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
