Warrant arrest in Riverside Park

Proactive park patrols led to the arrest of a man wanted on multiple warrants this weekend.

On July 15, 2023, around 4:40 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were in Riverside Park conducting foot and police UTV patrols when they recognized a wanted man near 1st Avenue and Victoria Street.

Officers attempted to arrest the man, who allegedly fled into the park, where police were able to catch up with him and quickly take him into custody, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

Kyle Jordan Deline, 32, of Kamloops, was arrested on unendorsed warrants for alleged offences including breach of release orders, robbery, theft, and others. He was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.
