Police investigating fraud, vehicle theft

A stolen vehicle investigation led to quick arrests in Aberdeen earlier this week.

On July 10, 2023, around 5 a.m., police received a report of a white Honda Civic stolen overnight from the 800-block of McGill Road that was spotted on the 1300-block of Columbia Street West a short time later.

Thanks to information provided by the victim, the investigation led officers to a commercial location on Hugh Allan Drive, where they arrested three people for theft, possession of stolen property, and fraud, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. One of the three was released on scene; the other two were released with a court date and conditions.

Charge recommendations are anticipated as part of the assessment and approval process.
