Kamloops RCMP Bike Rodeo: Grab your friends, bike and helmet to have a wheelie good time!

As the school year nears its end and students prepare for summer, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment wants to help kids jump on their bikes with safety in mind.

On Saturday June 3, 2023, from 11-3 p.m, bike riders of all ages and abilities are invited to grab their wheels and helmets and head to a start-of-the-summer bike rodeo at the Stuart Wood Basketball Court, 245 St. Paul St. The Kamloops RCMP Crime Prevention Unit is teaming up with the City of Kamloops, ICBC, Bike Coalition, and local bike clubs for the free drop-in event intended to help participants brush up their skills and enter the school break with riding confidence.

An obstacle course, bike inspection, helmet fitting, free giveaways, and tons of fun await Kamloops cyclists at the rodeo, said Corporal Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP Crime Prevention Unit. We are working at creating safety and confidence in our young riders."
