File # 2021-38386

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to be on the lookout after new information confirmed Shannon White’s vehicle also travelled northbound on the Yellowhead Highway the same day she was reported missing.

As the investigation into Ms. White’s disappearance approaches the two-week mark, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment is now looking both north and west of the city for any clues that could help locate the 32-year-old woman, last heard from on Monday Nov. 1, 2021.

Ms. White is believed to have left her home in Lower Sahali around 8 a.m. on Monday morning, Nov. 1. She was supposed to be at her job on Notre Dame Drive for 8:30 a.m., but she never arrived. The next day, Nov. 2, her vehicle was located parked on Nicola Street near 3rd Avenue.

On Friday Nov. 12, Kamloops RCMP joined together with Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) to look for Ms. White and any clues into her disappearance, after learning her vehicle left town for a 45-minute period the morning of Nov. 1. Her vehicle was observed travelling west on the Trans Canada Highway, shortly after Ms. White was supposed to have arrived at work.

Over the course of the weekend, investigators learned that on Monday Nov. 1, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Shannon’s Jeep also travelled north on the Yellowhead Highway, past Rayleigh, before returning south, passing by Rayleigh approximately 45 minutes later, said Corporal Dave Marshall, Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit. We are updating the public with this information as these search areas are large and winter is fast approaching. The more people out looking for Shannon in these areas the better.

Anyone who lives in or is familiar with the rural areas north of town is asked to please be on the lookout for anything related to the investigation, including any game camera footage that may have captured video which could be helpful. Those with information are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-38386.
