Last week, officers from West Shore RCMP’s Indigenous Policing Unit and Community Policing Unit participated in the fun at the Spring Break Easter Open House hosted by Esquimalt Nation.

The gathering involved several different fun activities for youth including an Easter egg hunt, art show, and a variety of arts and crafts. West Shore Officers also brought down a couple of self-propelled go karts for youth to show off their racing skills.

West Shore RCMP officers prepared bannock for the event, and youth participating in the Living Labs Program shared salmon and clams they harvested over Spring Break. There were so many fun things going on, for all ages in the community today, really great planning by the Esquimalt Education Team, said Cst Cole Brewer, Indigenous Policing Unit.
