RCMP seek witnesses to an incident where a woman was seriously injured

The North Vancouver Serious Crime Unit is investigating an incident that resulted in serious injuries to a woman.

At approximately 2:40 PM on July 10, 2022, a woman riding a bicycle on the Spirit Trail in North Vancouver was pushed off her bicycle. The woman sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries from the fall. The investigation revealed that an unknown passerby was directed by a man, claiming to be an off-duty police officer, to stop the woman on the bicycle which resulted in her fall.

We are aware that there were multiple people who witnessed the incident and interacted with the man who claimed to be a police officer, said Cst. Mansoor Sahak of the North Vancouver RCMP. We are asking for those people to come forward and speak to us.
