ICBC and North Vancouver RCMP’s annual boat safety event, ‘Project Wave,’ is happening this Saturday July 30 at Whey-ah-Wichen (Cates Park) from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are three dates scheduled for ‘Project Wave’ with August 27 as the main event.

‘Project Wave’ is an annual partnership event between North Vancouver RCMP Traffic Services and ICBC to educate the public about their obligations as responsible pleasure craft operators. ‘Project Wave’ brings an opportunity for the public to meet our partner agencies who patrol our local waterways and learn about boating regulations, water safety and items that all pleasure craft operators need to have on board.

On July 30, partner agencies including the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue and Vancouver Port Authority have been invited to be at the boat launch and out on the water alongside our North Vancouver RCMP vessel throughout the day.
