Coquitlam RCMP seek witnesses and information involving a robbery

Coquitlam RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred at a local Esso gas station.

On August 7, 2021 at 9:59 p.m., Coquitlam RCMP responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Esso gas station located at 1130 Johnston Street in Coquitlam. The suspect entered the store, walked up to the cash register and displayed a firearm concealed in his waist to the employee.

The suspect obtained cash from the employee prior to fleeing the store.

Images of the suspect were captured on video surveillance.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or have information on the identity of the suspect to contact the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency line at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2021-21666.
