
Quick police response catches B&E suspect

A rapid police response to a report of a break-and-enter enabled the arrest of the suspect on Monday morning.
On Monday, December 20, 2021, shortly after 1:30 a.m., the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a break-and-enter to a business on the 1500 block of 20 Avenue. Police located a man matching the description just a few blocks from the break-and-enter. The suspect, who is known to police, was identified as 36-year-old, Prince George resident Edward Brookfield. Mr. Brookfield will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charge:
- Break and enter to commit an indictable offense
Our quick police response enabled investigators to identify and arrest a suspect within a short time after the initial report of the break-and-enter. This is a great example of the hard work our officers to do keep our community safe,
