Suspicious Person near elementary school

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the Prince George RCMP received a call of a suspicious event that occurred near 17th Avenue and Hemlock Street. The report advised that the driver of a vehicle approached an elementary aged youth and offered them some food. The driver allegedly got out of the vehicle and spoke further with the youth who continued on their way. The driver then left the area. The driver is described as:

• Caucasian male
• Dark hair
• Approximately 5’10
• Muscular build
• Wearing a grey sweatshirt

The vehicle is described as:

• Green in colour
• 4-door, possibly a hatchback
• Possibly an import model

The Prince George RCMP are asking that anyone in that area with security cameras please contact 250-561-3300.

The investigation is continuing. Investigators would like to speak to the person involved. At this time, police would also like to remind the adult public that it is not appropriate to approach school-aged children not known to you.
