Vehicle collision involving cement truck prompts Sooke Rd closure

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. West Shore RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a cement truck and a car near the 4500 block of Sooke Rd.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage and the occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries. Traffic has been shut down in both directions so that emergency personnel can attend the scene.

Police anticipate the road being re-opened within a few hours as the cement truck was full and requires special equipment in being removed.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. This collision has caused traffic delays on Sooke Rd. We thank the public for their patience as emergency personal attend the scene.
