File # 2025-3250

On January 30 and 31, 2025, officers with the Langley RCMP’s Special Response Team, Community Response Unit and Gang Enforcement Team with the Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU), Metro Vancouver Transit Police Crime Suppression Team and Integrated Police Dog Services participated in a joint enforcement project in Langley.

The 48-hour enforcement project targeted drug trafficking, gang-related activities and organized crime in Langley. Officers participated in proactive enforcement measures which included a variety of vehicle traffic stops and targeted foot patrols in specific areas which resulted in fifty arrests and detentions. A total of 6 vehicles were seized and towed and illicit drugs worth approximately $15,000 were removed from vehicles and persons who were involved in drug trafficking.

We saw officers from different agencies unite under a common goal and the strength of their collaboration became the greatest weapon against organized crime, says Inspector David Wise of the Langley RCMP. Insp. Wise added, The officers' expertise and in-depth knowledge of drug trafficking enabled them to successfully locate the illicit drugs that were concealed in a hidden compartment during a vehicle stop.

All individuals arrested have been released pending further investigation.

The Langley RCMP would like to thank our partners for supporting this project.
