On the morning of January 11, Mission RCMP were notified of two Canada Post community mailboxes that had been dumped on Draper Street near Cemetery Avenue in Mission. Investigators contacted Canada Post and determined that the boxes were actually stolen from the area of Riverside Street in Abbotsford. Shortly afterwards, police recovered a third stolen community mailbox, which had been dumped along Tyler Street. That box was stolen from Machell Street in west Mission. All of the boxes had been pried open and the mail from within had been stolen.

Residents in these areas are asked to check their CCTV footage for any suspicious vehicles or activity during the night of January 10-11, and to notify police of anything of interest. Anyone else who notices their community mailbox has been tampered with or is missing should notify Mission RCMP, 604-826-7161. If you believe you are missing any mail, please contact Canada Post at 1-866-607-6301.  Mission RCMP file #24-395.
