Police seize stolen firearms and illicit drugs

Maple Ridge, B.C – Ridge Meadows RCMP recovered and seized stolen firearms, jewelry, personal documents, contraband cigarettes and approximately half a kilogram of illicit drugs, in relation to a break and enter investigation.

On November 28, 2024 at approximately 12:20 p.m. Ridge Meadows RCMP front line members responded to a report of a Break and Enter that had occurred at a residence in Maple Ridge.

Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) as well as Integrated Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended to assist with the investigation. The prompt response and combined efforts of the various units involved, allowed for the alleged suspects to be quickly identified by SEU.

On December 11, 2024 SEU with the assistance of the Integrated Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 22300 block of St. Anne Avenue, Maple Ridge.

During the search, 6 firearms, along with jewelry, personal documents, contraband cigarettes and approximately half a kilogram of illicit drugs were located and seized.

Five individuals were arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

This is a great example of how immediate action has achieved positive results, in the recovery of a substantial amount of stolen property. It is always a win, when our efforts allow us to return property to it’s rightful owner, states Sergeant Trevor Hanson with the Street Enforcement Unit.
