All of the victims live in area of Telford Avenue and Beresford Street.
On November 6, 2024, police arrested a 20-year-old man for criminal harassment. The suspect was released from custody with several strict conditions. He is prohibited from contacting the victims or attending any place they are known to attend. The suspect must also report to a bail supervisor.
I can only imagine the unsettling feeling these women must’ve felt knowing someone was watching them,
said Sergeant Freda Fong with Burnaby RCMP’s Investigative Support Team. It was important for us to promptly identify and arrest the individual at the soonest opportunity. We need to send a strong message to the community that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and that the police prioritize women’s safety.
