This year's charity hockey game will kick off on December 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m at the Comox Valley Sports Centre with Comox Valley First Responders and Canadian Armed Forces members squaring off against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings.

The stakes are high, but it’s more than just a thrilling night of competition—it’s about making a difference for those who have served and sacrificed.

Building on the success of last year’s game, which raised $21,000, the community is setting its sights even higher this year. All funds raised will go directly to life changing programs on Vancouver Island, supporting trauma exposed professionals and their families as they navigate the mental health challenges that often come with serving in uniform.

Sgt. Rob Brennan, one of last year’s runners for the Wounded Warrior Run BC, is passionate about the strong connection between the community and this vital cause. Last year’s support was overwhelming, Rob shared. The funds raised stayed right here on Vancouver Island, helping Veterans, First Responders, and their families feel supported, understood, and not alone. We can’t wait to see the same incredible energy this year.

The Second Annual Charity Hockey Game is quickly becoming a cornerstone event for the Comox Valley, embodying the region’s spirit of compassion and resilience. The evening will feature an opening ceremony, emergency vehicles, silent auction, information booths, mascots, duck toss and 50/50, with all proceeds going to Wounded Warriors Canada.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary event - last year’s game was a complete sell out!
