RCMP Recruiting event: Do you want to become a Mountie?

Coquitlam RCMP is excited to host the BC RCMP Recruiting Team for a Career Information Session on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

This career information session is for people interested in a career with the RCMP. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the application process, police academy training (Depot), hear first-hand accounts from Coquitlam RCMP and BC RCMP officers and ask questions.

We are very excited to be hosting our second career information session this year. These sessions allow attendees the opportunity to learn more about the recruiting process, what we do and the countless career opportunities, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. The RCMP can offer a rewarding career with over 150 specializations. I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I do.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own mobile device, tablet or laptop to complete the application process on site with a recruiting officer. This is a unique opportunity to receive real-time assistance with the first step in the application process.

There isn’t any other job where you can experience the opportunities we have within the RCMP. Policing can be a challenging career but very rewarding, said Constable Jenna Moore from BC Proactive Recruiting. Our Information Sessions are a great way for you to explore a career with the RCMP, meet a recruiter and network with other people considering a career as a police officer.

RCMP Career Information Session

• Date: Wednesday, October 9, 2024
• Time: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Where: Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre located at 2150 Wilson Avenue, in Port Coquitlam

Please register for this event through Eventbrite.

Please arrive prior 10 to 15 minutes early to ensure that the presentation can start at 6:00 p.m.
