Crime Stoppers shredding event is back--mark it on your calendar

The Central Vancouver Island Crime Stoppers (formerly Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers) in cooperation with Country Grocer and RecordXpress is hosting their annual paper/document shredding event. The event is scheduled for Saturday September 28, from 11 am to 3 pm in the parking lot of Country Grocer located at 1800 Dufferin Crescent.

Throughout the event there also be a barbeque by donation with all proceeds from this and the shredding going directly to support the local Crime Stoppers program. As per shredding, a donation of $20 is recommended for a bankers’ box of paper. We have managed to hold this event every year for the past 10 years and it continues to be one of the most significant fund raiser initiatives for our program. It’s also nice to see so many repeat customers come back every year, said R/Cst Gary O’Brien Crime Stoppers Coordinator for the Nanaimo RCMP.
