School zones are back in effect

As summer ends and the school year begins, we want to remind everyone that school zones are now active again from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.  Officers will be out ensuring that these areas remain safe for our children.

Please be mindful of the speed limits and always stay alert for crossing students.  Mission RCMP is "laser" focused on school zones and pedestrian safety throughout our communities, and will be maintaining a presence in and around school zones and playground zones.  We urge drivers to do their part by slowing down and paying extra attention while driving.

Let’s work together to make this school year a safe one for everyone!
