The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) assumes conduct of investigation into the death of Kristoffer Ong.
Background:
On June 8, 2024, at 1:58 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death in the 12300 block of 224 Street in Maple Ridge. A man was found deceased, and following an investigation, the victim’s death was deemed a homicide. As a result, IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation.
In order to further the investigation, IHIT is identifying the victim as 42-year-old Kristoffer Rich Ong.
IHIT continues to work closely in partnership with the Ridge Meadows RCMP, BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS).
We’re releasing Kristoffer’s name in hopes that those out there who had recent contact with him, will reach out and help us develop a time-line of his activity leading up to his death,
says Corporal Chase Smith, of IHIT. We’re asking anyone who had contact with Kristoffer, or anyone with information, to please call IHIT immediately.
