Coquitlam RCMP invites you to Cram the Cruiser in July

Coquitlam RCMP is inviting the public to help Cram the Cruiser on Thursday, July 25, 2024 with the Share Society and Metro Vancouver Transit Police. This event, which is usually held in December, is also being held during the summer months when food donations are low.

Join us to Cram the Cruiser with donations for people in our community.

All donations are collected in partnership with Share Family and Community Services Society to help support people in the community over the holiday season and beyond.

During the summer months, food bank donations drop but the need for them still remains high, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins of Coquitlam RCMP. Food bank services can act as a life-line for families, and we want to be able to support them all-year-round.

With the ever-increasing cost of living, so many members of our community are struggling to get by. Children are going hungry, seniors are limiting their meals, and families simply do not have enough, said Claire Maclean, Chief Executive Officer, SHARE Family & Community Services Society. SHARE’s Food Bank has seen a 48% increase in the number of people seeking help compared to last year. By donating at the RCMP Cram the Cruiser event during SHARE's Remember the Food Bank summer campaign, your generosity provides healthy food and hope to those who need it most.
