Langley RCMP responds to a call for mental health

At approximately 4:50 am on July 1st 2024, Langley RCMP received a call from an individual in the 5000 block of 204 st., Langley and during the call it became apparent they were suffering from a mental health episode. Langley RCMP responded with assistance from the Emergency Response Team and the Crisis Negotiator to apprehend this individual.
Officers were able to successfully and safely remove this individual from their residence who was then transported to a hospital to receive appropriate care.
Langley RCMP understands the importance of mental health and would like to re-assure the public there is currently no ongoing risk to the public.
